Pieter Jacobs, P.Eng.

CEO

Pieter brings more than 30 years of international leadership, engineering, policy, and multidisciplinary program experience to AvioTrax. His background in ecology and history provides him with a broad strategic perspective for analysing political landscapes and addressing complex challenges in defense, technology, infrastructure, and environmental management. He previously served at Global Affairs Canada as a Senior Policy Advisor and Senior Infrastructure and Environment Specialist and currently serves as Vice-President of the Clean Annapolis River Project in Nova Scotia.

Shahab Moeini

Executive Chairman & COO

Shahab Moeini is an expert in unmanned systems, drone technologies, AI-enabled autonomy, and advanced remote sensing, with over 25 years of experience across defense, emergency operations, disaster management, and applied research. He specializes in UAV and UGV integration, multi-sensor fusion, technology assessment, and the testing, validation, and performance evaluation of mission-critical systems against operational and certification requirements.

Mohammad Zamani

CTO

Mohammad is a Senior Software Engineer with over 20 years of experience in advanced software architecture, artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud-based systems, and secure data platforms. His expertise includes the development of mission-critical defense software, AI-enabled object and target detection, automated target recognition, sensor-data processing, and UAV and UGV navigation solutions for GPS- and GNSS-denied environments. He combines strong technical leadership with a focus on system reliability, cybersecurity, scalability, and operational performance.

Sylvain Bédard, OMM, CD

Executive Director of Defense Compliance (EDDC)

Brigadier General (Retired) Sylvain Bédard brings over 30 years of leadership across the Canadian Armed Forces, NATO, the United Nations, and Canadian industry. A former Director General of Public Affairs at National Defense and Senior Military Assistant to the Minister of National Defense, Sylvain now advises defense technology companies on government strategy, procurement, and market access. His deep expertise in dual-use technologies and Canadian defense ecosystems makes him a trusted bridge between AvioTrax's advanced autonomous systems and the customers and partners who need them most.

Michael Tschiersch

Director of Regulatory Compliance & Technical Assurance

Michael Tschiersch brings over 20 years of Integrated Logistics Support and Integrated Product Support experience in, supported by more than 30 years and information technology in defense sector. His expertise spans defense engineering, product lifecycle management, enterprise resource planning, supply-chain management, and technical data integration. This multidisciplinary background enables him to translate complex military and operational requirements into structured, compliant, and supportable solutions across the full defense-system lifecycle.

Yana Korzhupova

Program Manager

Yana Korzhupova serves as AvioTrax's Program Manager in Ukraine, overseeing local program coordination, stakeholder engagement, project planning, and implementation. She supports collaboration between AvioTrax's technical teams, Ukrainian partners, government institutions, and end users, helping ensure that defense and unmanned-systems initiatives are aligned with operational priorities, schedules, and strategic objectives.

Sofiia Pivtorak

Project Coordinator

Sofiia serves as AvioTrax's representative and coordinator in Ukraine, supporting communication, stakeholder engagement, partnership development, and local project coordination. Her background in mathematical analysis and sociology complements AvioTrax's multidisciplinary expertise in unmanned systems, robotics, and AI-enabled technologies. By combining analytical thinking with an understanding of how technology interacts with end-users' demand, she supports effective collaboration between technical teams, industry partners, public institutions, and end users.
