L/SA – Logistic/Lifecycle Support Analysis
New weapon systems, developed and delivered by the established industry and new market participants, should be performant and available - and remain so over their lifecycle. The Logistic Support Analysis is the instrument for this goal and our software L/SA supports you on your way.
New (weapon) systems based on new technologies, modernized existing systems... in bigger numbers, in shorter development times,
often dual use … by new companies, startups and of course the “classic” defense industry.
Also these systems need to be prepared for operations over their lifecycle - including spares,
tools and equipment, training, documentation, maintenance, repair and overhaul, facilities, logistics and transport…
and a lot of other topics – covered by the disciplines Integrated Logistic/Product Support (ILS/IPS)
The task of the LSA (Logistic Support Analysis) in ILS is to ensure that a (weapon) system is and stays available and performant
over its – hopefully long – lifecycle.
But such an analysis needs experts and time, especially for a complex system with many suppliers and parts.
So we developed L/SA with some goals in mind to accelerate and improve the process.

Goal 1
Build a LSA on the standard 1388-2B, because that has all the needed data. Accelerate the process, remove the need
for Excel and work in parallel with all contributors
- Possible integration of external users with limited access - restricted on their required input.
- Editable labels and text fields for a project make working on the LSA understandable even for non-experts.
- Supporting the user with editable help functions, short texts and lookup functions to prevent errors.
- Pure or/and Comfort - the working methods for experts and occasional users.
Goal 2
Provide the nations ERP/PLM/SCM systems with the right data to enable the performance and availability of the
product starting with its delivery/operations. If necessary add data elements which are needed in those systems.
Update your LSA over the lifecycle of your product. Use it as a digital twin and keep your ERP/PLM/SCM systems uptodate and in a valid state.
Goal 3
Enable SMEs/Startups to deliver and integrate their products with the relevant support capabilities and needed data.
- A central L/SA in an European Cloud under the lead of NATO/EDA/NSPA/OCCAR or national procurement agencies
- Startups/SMEs load/edit their products LSA data into the application
- Experts/Consultants on customer side accompany the progress, comment the status, show mistakes and give tipps…
Goal 4
Do not “destroy” the ASD- process. Enable its implementation when it is needed or useful. Especially for big, complex systems
like frigates, aircrafts there is no better way to longlasting performance and availability. And by the way – with L/SA you
have a direct interface not only to ASD S3000L.
